BMW Installation Instructions
The installation time is approx. 2 hours, but this may vary depending on the condition of the car and the equipment in it.

The retrofit kit is for use within the BMW dealership organisation only.
The target group for these installation instructions is specialist personnel trained on BMW cars with specialist knowledge of vehicle electrical systems.
All servicing, repair and installation work on BMW cars is completed at your own risk.
All work must be completed using the latest BMW repair manuals and circuit diagrams in a rational order using the prescribed tools (special tools) and observing current health and safety regulations.
The installation work for the wheel arch trims is shown on the left-hand side of the car. The right-hand wheel arch trims are to be installed in the same way on the other side.
The installation work for the flared bumpers is shown on the right-hand bumper trim. The left-hand bumper trim is to be installed in the same way on the other side.
Special tools required
Twist drill, 7 mm

|The following components must be removed first of all:|
|Rear bumper trim||51 12 000|
|Rear wheel arch trims on both sides||—|
|Front wheel arch trims on both sides||—|
A Left flared bumper
B Right flared bumper
C Left template
D Right template
E Retaining springs, 14x
F Front right wheel arch trim
G Rear right wheel arch trim
H Front left wheel arch trim
I Rear left wheel arch trim
J Blind rivets, 30x
K Expanding rivets, 6x
 Secure the front wheel arch trim H to the wheel arch using the supplied blind rivets J .
Secure the front wheel arch trim H to the side skirt using the supplied blind rivet J and expanding rivet K.
Secure the rear wheel arch trim I to the wheel arch using the supplied blind rivets J.
Secure the rear wheel arch trim I to the side skirt using the supplied blind rivet J and expanding rivet K.
Install the wheel arch trims F and G on the right-hand side of the car. ↑
Affix the template D to the bumper trim (1) as shown.
Drill the marked holes (2) on the bumper trim (1) with a 7 mm drill bit.
The holes you have drilled are used as reference points for the areas to be sawn out (1).
You must retain the speed nut mounting (2). Saw out the marked areas (1) on the internal bumper trim.
Saw out the marked areas (1) on the template D.
Deburr the openings (1).
Remove the template D again.
Cut the end piece (1) and journal (2) off the flared bumper
Insert the flared bumper B into the bumper trim (1) and align it.
Place the retaining springs E on to the journals on the flared bumper B.
Install the flared bumper A on the left-hand side of the car.
Check that the flared bumpers A and B are secure.
Assemble the car following the instructions to dismantle it in reverse order.
