13. Function

F 36 62 139

Any required driving speed as of 40 km/h can be maintained and stored automatically. The stored speed is deleted when the engine is shut off.

1 ACCELERATE

Lightly hit lever in position 1:

The current speed is maintained and stored. Every time the lever is hit the speed increases by approx. 1 km/h.

Press lever in position 1:

The vehicle accelerates without pressing the accelerator pedal. When released, the speed reached is maintained and stored.

2 DECELERATE

Lightly hit lever in position 2:

The current speed is maintained and stored. Every time the lever is hit the speed decreases by approx. 1 km/h.

Pull lever into position 2:

The vehicle decelerates by automatic throttle reduction. After being released, the speed reached is maintained and stored.

3 CALL

Lightly hit lever in position 3:

The speed last stored is reached again and maintained.

4 OFF

Lightly hit lever in position 4:

Cruise control is switched off irrespective of operating or traffic conditions. In addition, cruise control switches off automatically:

  • After the set speed has been exceeded by approx. 16 km/h.
  • After the speed drops by 8 km/h below the set speed.
  • When braking and pressing the clutch or when moving the automatic transmission selector lever from D to N.

Attention

Do not use automatic cruise control on winding roads, when heavy traffic does not permit a constant speed, the road surface is slippy (snow, rain, ice) or when the road surface is not firm (stones, sand).
