BMW Installation Instructions
Specialised knowledge is required.
Installation time is approx. 2.5 hours, though this may vary depending on the condition of the vehicle and its fittings.
Instructions and illustrations are given for left-hand drive models. Certain work steps must be carried out in mirror-image fashion for right-hand drive models.
Remove all drillings thoroughly, burr drilled edges and coat with inorganic zinc paint.
Newly fitted metal parts and areas affected by welding, new cavities, seams, grooves etc. must be sealed with a
BMW-approved preservation agent.
When laying cable in the vehicle, make sure that it is not crushed, wound up or otherwise damaged. Malfunctions might otherwise occur, the subsequent rectification of which can involve extensive work. The costs generated in such a case cannot be reimbursed by BMW.
Check the designated installation position before starting work.
Use only installation parts approved by BMW.
Items marked with an asterisk (*) depend on the equipment of the vehicle and are only fitted as standard in certain models and on certain national markets, or are available as optional extras or special equipment.
These installation instructions are subject to technical alterations.
