BMW Installation Instructions
The conversion kit contains all the parts required to convert a “Profil 2000” roof rack for an E36/4 Limousine into a “Profil 2000” roof rack for an E36/5 compact.
The front carrier bar remains unchanged. The rear carrier bar has to be converted according to the following instructions.
Before the roof rack is mounted for the first time, a basic adjustment must be carried out to match the support pads to the width of the vehicle.
Damage to the roof of the vehicle can result if the roof rack is incorrectly mounted.
Affix the enclosed letter-code sticker to the box below; this will facilitate re-ordering of the special coded key at your BMW dealer should the key get lost.
(Affix the sticker here.)
